AVU Gold at the National JUDO University Championship

AVU students have achieved podium placement at the 51^st edition of the National JUDO University Championship from Sibiu. “It was a tough competition doubled by an unfavorable refereeing but the good news is that out of the 6 athletes present, 5 were awarded medals” commented the team`s coordinator, Lect. PhD. Viorel Petru Ardelean.

One gold and 4 bronze medals have been added to the team`s and the public university`s track record. The winners were: gold medal for Prodan Bianca (FEFS freshman at the 78+ kg category) and third places for David Nagy (FEFS freshman, 100+ kg category) Mraz Gheorghe (AMCE, freshman 100+ kg category), Lazăr Daniel (FEFS freshman, 66+ kg category) and Brînda Cristian (IT sophomore, 60 kg category).
